- Screen Scene reads HomeKit home and scene information only after you grant Home access.

- Your selected lock scene, selected unlock scene, and lock-scene delay preference are stored locally on your Mac.
- Screen Scene does not operate a developer-run server for app data.
Information Screen Scene Accesses
HomeKit Data
If you grant Home access, Screen Scene can read HomeKit information available to your iCloud account, including:
- Home names
- User-defined HomeKit scene names
- Home and scene identifiers used by HomeKit
Screen Scene uses this information to list available scenes, save your selected lock and unlock scenes, and run the selected scene when the matching Mac lock or unlock event occurs.
Screen Scene does not send HomeKit data to the developer, to a developer-operated server, or to third-party analytics or advertising services.
App Preferences
Screen Scene stores the preferences needed to run the app, including:
- The HomeKit scene selected for Mac lock events
- The HomeKit scene selected for Mac unlock events
- The optional delay before a lock scene runs
These preferences are stored locally on your Mac using Apple's standard app preference storage. Screen Scene does not sync these preferences through a developer-operated service.
Data Collection and Sharing
Screen Scene does not collect personal data from the app, does not create user accounts, and does not operate a backend service for app data.
Screen Scene does not:
- Track you across apps or websites
- Show third-party advertising
- Use third-party analytics SDKs
- Sell or share your data
- Upload your HomeKit scene data to developer-operated servers
Data Storage
Screen Scene stores app preferences locally on your Mac. HomeKit information is read from Apple Home and used to show available scenes and execute the scenes you select.
You can remove locally stored app preferences by deleting the app and its app data from your Mac. You can manage or revoke Home access in System Settings.
Children's Privacy
Screen Scene is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated if Screen Scene's features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this document will be updated when changes are made.
